Trainees in this department will play a key role in shaping and implementing technology solutions within the KAUSTCentral ecosystem and other platforms supported by the KAUST Smart team. Their work will involve designing technology architectures and developing features that deliver innovative, user-centered experiences. The role focuses on mobile application development, with a strong preference for expertise in Android development. Additionally, trainees will have opportunities to gain experience in backend systems and UI/UX implementation, expanding their technical skill set.

Trainees in this role will support the development of Autonomous Vehicles (AV) for land, aerial, and water applications. Their responsibilities include designing, assembling, programming, testing, and maintaining AV systems while actively participating in vehicle operations during testing and demonstrations.

The Cybersecurity Department at KAUST is responsible for protecting the university’s digital assets, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations, and mitigating potential risks. With a team of skilled professionals, the department collaborates across the university to implement robust security measures and uphold the highest standards of cybersecurity.
The traineein this department will support the Security Operations Center (SOC) maturity project by collaborating with the SOC team and assisting with Level 1 alerts. Responsibilities include triaging alerts and escalating them to Level 2 specialists as needed. Additionally, the trainee will analyze threat intelligence feeds and act on actionable insights. They will also contribute to reviewing and improving the department’s knowledge base and functional documentation to ensure compliance with best practices and KAUST policies.
